Sunroof or no

I had a sunroof in my 2018 C4 GTS. Honestly, I never used it.
In my 992 S, I optioned the carbon fiber roof.

My last two cars (Lexus RC-F and 992 GTS) I optioned the carbon fiber roofs. ZERO regrets.

I always end up with sunroofs because I am too impatient to custom order and wait on a car without one. I never use them though. My current 911 has the body colored sunroof. If I were to spec a new 911 I would not opt for one. But then again I never drive with the windows down either.

Nothing better than cruising at sunset through curvy roads and temperatures cooling down with your sunroof open feeling the breeze and listening to the flat 6. Would even opt for the Targa, if I could. Its not a race car for everyone but a daily driver or simply a nice, sporty car. If you buy it for track, don't opt for the sunroof but also make sure you remove any and all possible weight option, any luxuries amenities etc. Can't have it both ways not wanting a hole in the roof and then sit in comfy 18 way memory seats...

With its shade retracted, the glass sunroof in my C2 admits lots of light into the cabin, which I value. I opted for the sound and thermal insulating glass, and although I don’t think the roof glass is sound/thermal insulating, I am comfortable with the A/C on 72 auto in 100 degree Austin with the shade retracted.
