Sunroof or no

Wow, these responses are ALL correct - even when they are opposite answers.
There's not many things more polarizing on rennlist than sunroof vs no sunroof.
Actually, I can only think of one other topic.

Except that wasn't what I said, so I believe you missed the point. But I certainly appreciate your jumping to conclusions and making blanket statements. Let's save that for political discussions, shall we.

But here is what you categorically missed:
Digits said not many things more polarizing than sunroof v no sunroof. To which others added PSE and transmission to the list. I added the 997 gens. I could have added NA v 991/992 turbo (engine design not turbo trim) instead. My point was not to debate the 997.1 v 997.2 which you immediately began to stammer on about. My point was that in discussing the 997 generation, people get somewhat testy in the distinction between the two halves of the gen, and you pretty much proved that point.

I only use sunroofs on nice evenings (too hot here in summer). On the 911 I much prefer the look of a steel one on most colours. That said, I have two cars with glass panoramic and have been testing them to see how much I prefer the cockpit openness as I would sacrifice some looks if it was much better inside. On both my Macan and C wagon, there was no difference in the front seats. The only benefit of the glass was for the rear passengers. I've done this during as many different light conditions as possible - ZERO difference for the front passengers. So my question is, is the 911 glass roof very different in this regard when you open and close the shade screen?

Actually they made a major improvement that I would actually get me to select the glass sunroof with the 2022 if I wasn't on a 2021 allocation.
The 2020/2021, if you selected glass sunroof, the strip of roof between the windshield and the sunroof was black (regardless of body color) and the strip between the sunroof and the back windshield was as well. When the pillars of body came up the windshield, with the glass sunroof option, they had an odd widening to them at the top, that broke up the color lines.
Now with the 2022, they have made all of the roof that is not sunroof body colored, just like on the steel sunroof version. Which in my opinion makes the glass sunroof car look so so so much better, so much that I would option a glass sunroof on a 2022 build but did not on my 2021 build.
Maybe that's my OCD!!

Can’t go wrong with the glass sunroof. I don’t drive with the sunroof open, but I always keep the sunroof shade open, unless I park the car in the sun on a hot day. On a cold day, I keep the shade open and the car interior stays warm.
No leaks.
