I found this video interesting on that same topic/question of what the future may hold for classic/vintage cars after the ICE ban.

Does anyone have updated production numbers on 2021 992? Probably done building ‘21s by June when they switch over to ‘22 production.

Its a mass produced car. It will depreciate. I promise.

Although this scarcity will resolve there will be a lot less cars circulating of the 992 variety in 3-4 years. Wonder what impact that will have on resale values
If they pump out a healthy number of 2022 and onward, then there is no impact. The last gen of ICE 911s will have its appeal to the hardcore, but the market for that will be much smaller than it is now. No one really knows when this happens - may be 10-15 years from now. Way too far away to have relevance for the 992's value.

Unfortunately, I suspect most 911 buyers -- the kind who don't come here -- see nothing wrong with an EV 911. In fact, I suspect an EV 911 would open up the market to all kinds of people who'd otherwise not consider it. These won't be "Porsche people" but their money is still green.

Of course, the 911 will be dead when this happens. EVs are terrible, but they are fAsT!!, and that will be enough for most people.
