I had a real billet one for my 997 by Maxspeed I think it was. Great product but apparently didn't fit my 991 and so sold it. Wish they made one for the 992 though.

I received the new one last week, installed it, and promptly forgot all about it. (You know, because, um, it's hidden away behind the fuel door.)
Today, I filled the tank and got a nice surprise when I saw it again.
I admit I do like this new style a bit more than the aluminum look one.
I also admit, it's really just a waste of $ - but today it made me happy for about three seconds.

I agree, its a waste of money but it does make you realize just how cheap and nasty the standard plastic one is.

I love this, because you don't even bother to have the Porsche right side up.

Does the cap click on the 911? I never noted that, but the aluminum cap indicates that it does. Does it?

I've had all three of these gas cap variants, and they all click - there might be a sticker on the inside of your fuel door reminding you to turn until it clicks.
The gas cap needs to be properly closed to allow the EVAP system to work (over-complicated system that detects if your car is leaking fuel vapors).
I'm guessing they make it click kinda like a torque wrench to let you know you closed it tightly enough.

Default Where do you get the pin to secure the gas cap to the 922?

I bought this cap. Does anyone know how to remove the pin that secures the strap to the body and/or the part # for it? (For a 992.)
