I honestly expected many SUV's as a second vehicle because the 911 sometimes isn't adequate for daily use (transporting large items or many people). With that said, my future second is probably a macan or a range rover.
Macan > RR. Build quality of RRs isn’t that great, big old non-sporty bus. They can take an impact though, so for safety I can’t knock them.
My Range Rover Sport (HST) is the best alternative ride for me.
I do the Donner Pass (HWY 80) twice a month back to California and the Rover is the perfect vehicle for the long distance open road. Two years ago my wife and I got slammed onto the concrete barrier around Farad by a semi. If that had happened in my Porsche, somebody could have been hurt.

For where I live, fishing and camping with my 30 foot camper, siberian hauler, propane tank getter etc. the one and only, the mightily modified V8 Touareg with air suspension. If could only swap out the 6 speed tiptronic for a 7 speed DSG...
