If we are talking non Porsche (I loved my 2019 Carrera GTS and my 2013 Carrera S)....My 2017 Ford Fusion Sport 2.7T. Stout CGI block Twin Turbo V6 from the F150, all wheel drive, dynamic adaptive suspension, heated/cooled seats, all the amenities including adaptive braking, lane keeping, and collision alert, Sony premium audio, moonroof, etc. 325hp/380 lb/ft of torque, 0-60 in 5 seconds and 25 combined mpg. Fully loaded MSRP of $42k. Out the door price of $34k. Can’t beat the value. Now at 85k miles, just did brakes for the first time. Other than normally scheduled maintenance of tires, wipers and oil changes, absolutely bulletproof. The mileage reimbursement has more than covered the cost of the car. It’s helped finance my Porsches.

My second best car would by my 2017 718 lava orange Boxster. I got more thumbs up from it than any car I have over owned. I would have gotten another one after the warranty ran out but the new ones looked just like the old one and no changes forecast for another two years. Now that I have the 992 I will not go back to another boxster. I love this car.
“Big pig”, potentially the most comfortable long distance tank I have had the pleasure to drive.
macan turbo, wife spec’d the car, air suspension is brilliant, enough power for day to day driving and enough space for whatever we need to do. It does attract stones like flies on ****e, should have ppf’d the front. New windscreen Tuesday being put in, some very nasty chips that haven’t cracked yet but are to close together to be repaired. Had to fight to get OEM but got there in the end.
My current stable is my favorite ever. Keeping all 3 for a long time. If I had to pick my second favorite, I'd give the very slight edge to the X5. It's an amazingly good car.
Compared to my 992, this is (currently) my second favorite:
In case you're tempted to tease me about the parking job: No, I didn't park it like that - I snapped these right after it came off the transport and that's where the truck driver parked it. I just haven't taken any other photos since.
I honestly expected many SUV's as a second vehicle because the 911 sometimes isn't adequate for daily use (transporting large items or many people). With that said, my future second is probably a macan or a range rover.
