Various manufacturers reflect the production number in the VIN; usually by the last 6 numbers. Given what the last 6 numbers on my VIN are, it's either a reflection of every 356/911... ever built or is just a secret number that only the cognoscenti in Zuffenhausen are initiated to it's meaning and of course sworn to eternal secrecy.
Anyone know what the last digits stand for and Audi upon request provides you with the number of, for example, RS vehicles that match your color and build and were imported into the US. Anything similar since the certificates are no longer issued?

I have a MY20 that shows it was the last C2S built (1698/1698) - and my last six digits are 229999. I would imagine that vin designates the end of the run? Who knows 🤪

Where does it "show" that? My last six are 222260 and a lower number... so according to the ancient Summarian calendar which used a lunar 30 day sequence we may deduce that to make up the missing days after 4+ years they added a number of 2s (TWOs) to balance it so it would align with the Feng Shue for Chinese exports... It looks pretty meaningless if a year after yours we're regressing in numbers, unless it's a countdown to ONE for all the 992s they plan to produce...meaningless unless someone could shed some insight?
