Default Trade 991.2 GTS for 992 GT3 as a non-main car?

So the 992 GT3 just came out. It's available for ordering. I also am getting a Tesla Model 3 Performance in a week that I will use as a DD/ general purpose vehicle.

My GTS has been with me for almost 2 years. It's tuned to stage 2 + HRE lightweight rims.

Would it be wise to trade in/ sell my GTS and get the GT3?

YES, it's two years old - time to trade it in at a 30% loss on a new GT3 at MSRP!
Your local dealer is waiting for you right now
(by the way you'll love that M3P)

As a street car, there will be minimal difference. GT3s will be selling initially for 25-50k over MSRP.

My 2019 GT3 w race buckets was very uncomfortable for any drive more than 1 hour. My wife refused to ride in it. I traded it in for 991.2 GT3RS dedicated track toy and bought another 911.

If you want a completely different driving experience, buy an exotic.

Do you need a back seat?

Part of the appeal of the 911 for me is having the jump seats for kids in a pinch.

I’d also only buy GT3 for track. I think on the street the turbo provides more usable power.

I rarely need backseats for seating people. I would sometime call them a taxi if they really need a ride.

What do you mean Turbo being more usable? As in it is less tempting for you to go beyond speed limit? What else?
If speed limit isn't matter, would you still ignore it as a street car?

I'll grow my businesss further to prepare myself for the 992.2 one then.

Have you got the model 3 performance? How lovely has it been? Changed the brakes?

Did you buy a targa just for the looks, without any consideration for the open top motoring it provides? They're completely different cars. I can't imagine replacing a Targa w a GT3. I'd like to have both. But they don't fit the same purpose; not for me, anyway.

Definitely need the back seats for my kids, the purpose of me ordering the new 992 C4S is because of back seats.
I also am a AWD / Turbo / Manual fan.
If I ever hit the lottery I would get a gt3 for track use only.

the turbos provide far more low end torque. The TTS is faster than the gt3 on the street and highway. Easier to drive, especially in traffic, and much more comfortable than the gt3 on the highway. You have to want the particular variation of emotive experience for a gt3. Or track it.

Quick Reply: Trade 991.2 GTS for 992 GT3 as a non-main car?
