Nope, the wheel well housing comes off, 5 torx screws and a 10mm nut. Then 2 more torx screws on the cartridge and pull out. Real simple. Sucks you gotta take the wheel off, but whatever, not that hard.

Makes the car sound different, for sure. But barely.

Also, reusable - you can clean and reuse several times over rather than replace. I use them on many of my cars and I also use them on my UTV - My UTV when we off road and use it for work, the filters get dirty quick. The disposable ones I would have to replace, the BMC's I can clean - re-oil and utilize several times.
