I agree, patent does not mean it will get built. Porsche put out this book last year, which was full of concept vehicles Porsche did, some many years ago, but had never released. The patent drawings are of one of the concepts from the book. I wouldn’t be surprised if Porsche hasn’t filed patents on many of their concepts, even if there is no real plans to release. I have a copy of the book but have not read through it entirely, so I’m not sure what is written about the specific concept the patent drawings are of.
