Default Oil level problems

I’ve got a 992 4s. 8900 miles.
With about 1200 miles on the odometer the car warned me of “Excessive oil level”. I’ve never added any. Took it in. They drained a quart and I was told it is a not uncommon thing for them to come from factory with a bit too much oil and a sensitive sensor. I doubted that explanation.

‘Changed oil at 8000 miles or so. All good for 900 miles and now the same message. No oil added. Faulty sensor?
Called the dealer and my diagnosis was shot down. Any insight? I’m taking it in on Saturday.

You say you changed the oil...assuming filter too...(just guessing here) but if not & you added total normal amount of new oil, the amount left in the filter might trigger it - when you check the oil does the level indicator indicating a over full condition?

It's the finicky electronic dipstick.

Ask the dealer to drain the oil and measure how much comes out. If it is the correct amount, there is a failure they need to resolve.
