Default Gas Flap

Due to the arched area around the gas gap, gasoline can easily drip on the paint in that area. A gas flap will minimize this occurance

one of several designs

My 993 had that from the factory.

Just resist the urge to pump in any extra after the pump clicks off.

I have been looking for one. Does the one sold by TOUT fit our 992s? I mean it’s just a flap but does the ring fit and flap tuck away nicely?

This works too. When pump shuts off remove from car, tap a couple times lightly, turn nozzle up (add towel from window washing station if you're really particular) and place back in gas pump. Luckily I've been a lot less concerned about this when I have PPF on the car.

I learned how to stop the extra drips about age 7, when my Mother would tell me to give it a shake and not get it all over the place. Hasn't been an issue since 1st grade.

I usually fill the tank with the pump on its lowest setting. I find there's considerably less drama with the gas pump nozzles vapor recovery system shutting off the pump intermittently. FWIW, if/when the pump does shut off, do NOT round up that 23 cents to the next dollar. Don't ask me how I know.
