RF Blocking Key Fob pouch
#17
I'll let my insurance company carry the ball in the unlikely event that some creep scans my key and steals my car.
This kind of thing reminds me of the people I see walking outside or driving their cars with a homemade(non n95) useless mask covering the majority of their head, goggles, hat, and gloves.

Aluminum foil or a passport bag work just as well. I keep the 911 and Macan keys wrapped in the kitchen because it’s next to the garage. The cars/keys were close enough to ping each other and run down the batteries, mostly the batteries in the keys. Since wrapping in foil haven’t had any more issues with batteries.

The range of the FOBs and closeness of the garage is one of my concerns as well. I ordered one of the pouches and we'll test out on the Macan. If it doesn't work, it's not an expense I'll be mortified about

Wondering - What is the point of keeping your key in the faraday bag if inside the car? The bags prevent the exploit where someone can extend their range for keyless entry, but in your case you are leaving the car unlocked anyway inside your garage so a thief doesn't need to exploit keyless entry to get it.
