I've just done a spec for a new Targa 4. I wanted to see what the experts think? http://www.porsche-code.com/PMNVSMK1

Build looks nice. You could shave off a decent amount by forgoing a few things like the painted lid (nobody will ever see this, or care) and many people find the Porsche puddle lights to be a bit cheesy.

Bigger concern would be an allocation for a Targa 4 - they’re in very short supply, and even fewer in right hand drive.

Q2 allocation apparently (I'm guessing late June but that suits me, the puddle lights, I have them on my current M4, guess I'm just used to them but a reasonable point.

I thought the painted lid meant the engine grills on the rear?

Not an expert but I like it. 👍🏻
I would add extended door leather. I like the grab handles to open/close the door to be wrapped in leather and not plastic.
Heated GT steering wheel and seats?

I believe rear lid slats is for the exterior portion. If I recall, the engine compartment option is for the portion under, being the plastic cover and fan housings.

Take a look at it with the targa bar blacked out...

That's a beautiful build. Congratulations and good luck with the allocation. I like the Targa bar in silver myself, especially on darker colored cars. I would consider the GT steering wheel (heated or not). Great choice on the 930 leather package. I also went for that and it is really nice. I see why they include it in the Turbo S as it looks very classy.

Looks wonderful, I love the Targa

If it were me, however, the only thing I would change is to keep the ‘911’ on the back instead of total delete. Get rid of Targa 4, but 911 is iconic and classy. It reminds people behind you that you are driving the true Porsche, and not some Panamera or something.

Just my opinion

I've deleted it on mine. If they don't know its a 911 Targa, telling them is not worth it. I am surprised they charge you for deletion though. [EDIT] Oh I see its free, just the way the options and pricing is grouped.

I'd add the crest on headrests. Especially given its a targa.

I agree on the Porsche crests on the headrests. Regarding badges, I don't look at it as being for "them." I've always kept all the badges on, not to impress people (don't really give a damn what they think). I'd just rather have them. Like everything else, personal preference. Have to admit that I did like having the badge on my previous 991.2 TTS, primarily when the "muscle car" guys would pull up and want to screw with me. Wanted them to know exactly what just left them wondering what just happened....
