Assuming the hazing is gases being released from interior plastic then yes, it could but I'd have thought a glass protector would be just as susceptible and anyway you can clean haze off a glass surface quickly with a decent glass cleaner, like you would the windscreen.

I bought the one from Suncoast. Carefully installed it and took it back off almost instantly. For me, it was way too shiny and reflective. Changed the look of the dash. Not for me.
