Default Night time assisted driving option

Anytime TOWMBO mentions adding an option , it's obviously not something one dismisses ... does anyone have any thoughts/advice on the IR nighttime driving aid? Concern here is of course wildlife. But is it really worth it?

I bought the Assistance Package and it came with Night Vision. Living in a suburban area, it's of limited use. However, if I lived in Alaska with all the wildlife and dark winters, it would be a no brainer. YMMV.

I had this feature in my last Merc. With the bright LED's, I did not find it that helpful (and I live in the country with lots of deer/wildlife). I found with the bright LEDs on it (and our 992s), I would see them just as well with the lights as I would the night vision. It was a cool feature, but not that useful in my opinion.

Thank you. It's indeed a hefty addition...
