Base 911 Low option car question

I have a 2021 Corvette Convertible on order and I also have caught the 911 992 bug. Max I can pay at the moment is $200K for BOTH NEW cars. I can swing around $105K plus TT&L for the Porsche. That is basically a standard unit with a few relatively useless options that the dealer nearly always order. I usually keep a car around 5 years and average less than 2k miles per year on my garage queens. Truck, Jeep and 4 bikes for daily drivers. Question is this: I know most buyers like heavily optioned or high performance models and in most cases don't mind paying for them, but will resale on a bare bones 2021 911 be decent primarily because it will come in at a much lower price point?

In 5 years, it really doesn’t matter.

You will get to spec it the way you want, not the other way around.

Resale wise it won't matter much after 5 years, there is a buyer for every build. What's more important is how well its kept up for resale value and that's true of any car. I just traded in my "stripper" 2014 991S Cab and they upped the trade in price because of how good a shape it was in. They didn't have to spend any money detailing it and it sold three days later. You don't "need" a single option on a 992, there is goodness in the car bone stock.

I have found a new very lightly optioned C2 in adventurine geen - black interior - base wheels for low msrp. No PSE, damn it! No discount and no B.S. added to the price. Will need to ship though....decision time......

Sounds great - I wouldn’t let lack of pse put me off one jot - I’ve had pse on my 992 and GT4 and hardly ever switch it on

If you live in either the Atlanta or the Los Angeles area, see if you can take delivery at one of the two Porsche Experience Centers (PEC). The cost is something like $650 but it may actually be less expensive than shipping your car. That and you'd get the VIP treatment (such as it is) with some mild track training and driving experience at the PEC when they deliver the car to you.
