By "intensely" I mean pushing the engine, hitting the corners like it's a racetrack, and otherwise driving like it's your last day on earth

I enjoy the acceleration, but haven’t really pushed the car in corners (too scared).

I had never driven a 992 until I went to pick mine up at PEC-Atlanta and have 0 performance car experience. There were simply 0 around in stock at nearby dealers last August. The 90 minute track instruction helped me go from being cautious in the beginning to trusting the car and pushing harder and harder by the end. I was hitting 95mph at the end of the straights and sticking to the racing line in back to back sweepers. The low friction circuit and skidpad really help you feel at which point the car will lose traction and how to control and recover drifts. The limits are ridiculously high unless you purposefully try to lose control with DSC off. Definitely gave me even more appreciation for the car and made me much more confident for street driving.

Knowing this is discoverable in a legal setting, I would say I don’t ever recall breaking any traffic law because safety is always my top priority.

Driving in competition cured me of ever wanting to drive outside of a safe and legal zone on public streets. Really, it's like; what's the point! If you want to see what you and the car can do, go to a track, you simply can not come anywhere even remotely close to that sort of level on a public road.

The correct answer for everyone here is less than 1%.

Your choices are wildly optimistic, great for Fast N' Furious movies.....but......

Even on track days, few pass 25% while in a session.

I plan to drive on a track this summer. Really look forward to the experience.

I do think it would be hard to simply drive normally all of the time and not push things when you’re out on some country roads, though.

If you haven't been to the track before then your first time out you will likely not drive to even 25% of the car's capability. And you shouldn't, you have a lot to learn. Actually you have a lot to unlearn. First timer's usually have many bad habits they have developed and a good Instructor will ease you off those and correct them, and that can take the whole day of four 20 minute sessions. My best students are the ones that listen and correct.

After you have done a session or two, ask to go out with one of the Instructor's in their car for a couple of hot laps, they are likely to oblige. Hold on, don't throw up in their car please (yes, people do and its gross) and see what 90% to 95% really feels like for a few laps. Go out with e Professional Factory Racer and you will see what 100% is like lap after lap. And that's an amazing experience if you can catch some laps with those guys. When I take students out for hot laps, what freaks them out every time is the braking, not the cornering, and not the straights. Flooring in on the straights is where you relax for the next lap. Braking is where the real violence occurs and shatters your street-driving illusions about how to drive a fast lap. And the stickier your tires, the more crazy the braking. It's fun !!
