Default Interior plastic covers

This has got to be the worst part of the 992. I know you can order these in leather, but I want them in CARPET to match the interior. Honestly its a joke on a car with this cost.

Anyone done anything about this?

Not my image below, just one from another thread that shows the cover well.

it's an option is it not to have them in different finishes? sure you can get them in nicer finish

you'd think the mats would match better too

OK - So.... these mats are LLOYDS Mats; The iphone picture I took (this picture) is overexposed given how dark it was..... in natural light, the variance is not that much. Also re. the covers, Sure, you can get them covered in Leather - at a cost of $800 or so - not worth it for something right next to your feet.

Yes, I know I can get them covered in leather. I want them covered in CARPET to match the rest of the footwell.

Most likely it will be too thick in carpet and you won't be able to latch it. Just get some 3M Vinyl Film in Carbon Fiber and in 15 minutes it will look smashing.

Here is an very good You-Tube Video on how to wrap plastic trim. He's using Carbon Fiber appearance wrap but the principles, the tools and the procedures he uses are fairly universal.

Surely I can't be the ONLY one that feels this way? I guess I was hoping someone else had already accomplished this!

You think the floormats are the worst part of the 992?

You must really still be in the honeymoon period.

How do you intend to fold the carpet over the edge and bind it to the panel, and then engage the latch? Having done this kind of thing before, I can tell you that most likely you will have to refabricate the entire panel latch system to accommodate the carpet. Take it to an Auto upholstery shop, this is not a DIY project. They can fix you up ....

Replace those horrendously cheap factory pedals instead and you'll forget all about the fuse box cover.
