Unpainted with Silver… painted with darker colors, e.g. Gentian Blue.

I don't want to start another thread, (but I may have to). I have decided on GT Silver over black but am torn on wheels. I like classics but I don't like the machined face. My other choice is S silver or platinum. My question is has anyone painted the classics to get rid of the machined face?

How about posting photos of your top choices and getting some opinions?

Yes I'll do that but they are all already represented here in this thread (S, S platinum and Classic) with the exception, I think, of painted classics? I was really wondering if anyone has tried painting the rims to eliminate the machined faces. It sounds like a big effort just to eliminate the shiny parts but I really don't like them that way.

I landed on GT Silver with the sport front end and black interior with the matte carbon trim. I have found most color combinations look great with GT Silver.

Dolomite..blue top...graphite blue interior as a point of reference. Particularly nice in the sun.

Here’s a few pictures of GT Silver that might help. I love the color and it’s easy to keep clean.

It seems the GT silver pops more in good light, but I’m not sure it would work with the blue bits as it has a brown undertone.
I recently compared both in a showroom. Cars were a Cayman in GT Silver and Taycan in Dolomite. Up close, you can see the metallic flake in GT Silver is noticeably more dense than Dolomite.

Which you hue you prefer is personal preference, but like you, I was specifically interested in which one was more "metallic" for want of a better term. No doubt in my mind it's GT, which looked much less flat than Dolomite.
