Seems like all Porsche cars sales are exceeding any planning profile the factory might have had. Who expected this?

I checked with my SA yesterday and today he replied that he hadn't received any notification rejecting my aerokit from Germany. My freeze date is in 8 days with Feb production. My TYD has not changed, but we all know how unreliable that's been for some users.
I wonder if it only affects new builds being entered into the system. What's dumb is that you can still select it in the configurator.

That would make sense that it's only for new orders. What doesn't is that your SA is not aware and that it's still configurable. But the latter is always out of date with reality. I doubt the SA would tell me a $6k+ option is no longer available if it was.

Yes it is a bit strange that it is still available on the US configurator. The aerokit was removed from the UK and EU configurators at least two months ago.

Aerokit is Carrera specific. Not used on Turbos or GT.

According to one dealer it's a covid related supply chain issue and there was a three month stop on it. That was 2.5 months ago!

Not unreasonable, but why was I told through 2022? I guess like all manufacturers or airlines they just give out information in dibs and drabs... Just wish there was a way to get the duck tail back

I've heard until 2022, but it seems like there's no confirmed information now other than it's definitely not available.

I'd bank on the aero kit not returning to the 992. This has also been the case with past aero kits. Short-run item.
Covid forced it into an even shorter run than normal.
