Covid trip in y 2021 992 C2S
Drove from Denver to Santa Barbara last week due to a death in the family. The trip was amazing and just what I needed. Very therapeutic. I put 2500 miles on the car. Drove through ice and snow over the passes with no issues thanks to Michelin AP5s. Car sounded wonderful with my Akrapovic exhaust and Soul cats. Still, the interior was nice and relatively quiet with the Insulated glass. My 4 way sport plus seats kept me in great shape even after 11 hours in them. No back or leg issues.
The car felt nimble and light, even close to how my E30 M3 felt which I attribute to my RAS. The 23 gal gas tank was awesome. I averaged 24 mpg for the entire trip which works out to over 500 miles per tank. I did throw a code for the cats finally but reset it with my OBD tool.
Overall, this is a great travel car and even better driving car with enough power to put many other cars to shame. Every option I went for contributed to making this one of the best trips I have ever had in spite of the circumstances. Here are a few pics.

Awesome.
In August, I did 3800 miles to drop my daughter off at the University of Oklahoma. The 911 is an outstanding road trip tool and it was an experience that I won't soon forget.

Jealous! Great pics and fantastic that the 992 proved to be such a solid road trip car. Do you have ACC?
Regarding your CEL...that is odd, I thought the sport cats would never throw a code. My understanding is clearing the code only clears it for that drive and when you restart it comes back.

Pics are so cool. Love the scenery and color..Chalk wears the seasons well. I have your twin almost! Including the Akrapovic which I just installed after Xmas. No cats though.
Yes keep us informed on the CEL issue. Tune needed maybe? That has been usually how I solved similar problems when I had Fabspeed Sport Cats in my 981 Cayman S.

My son-in-law tunes cars for a living and is currently working with Mitch at M Engineering on Audi tunes. He does custom dyno tunes so as soon as Mitch has his M tuner available for the 992, we will be dong a tune on the car and turning of the cat CELs.
I don't have ACC or Innodrive. I have it on my Mercedes and I don't like it. It comes on way to early to slow the car and then when I want to pass, it will drop my speed as I change lanes. Just what you don't want. I prefer the good old manual cruise control.

Love your color and wheel combo. I'm amazed at how many miles you drive on such a small island, I assume Oahu? I used to live in Singapore and we had to cross the causeway to Malaysia to do any serious riding/driving.

Yes, Mitch has a tune he is shipping for the 992. What we are waiting for is specifically his M tuner software for the 992. He has it for other cars but so far, it's still not available for the 992 for custom tuning. You can check it out on his web site, it's pretty nice and does all the data logging needed for a customer dyno tune.
