Happy New Year all. Well our 5 month old 992 Cab was totaled right before Christmas. An over aggressive SUV driver t-boned my wife and daughter in the 992 while sitting waiting to exit a parking lot. Guy was going too fast to make the turn in, tried to abort and torpedoed the driver side front quadrant at over 35 mph at impact. Sent the car into a near 180 degree rotation. All airbags and rollover protection deployed. Car is a mess but saved their lives most likely. Other than PTSD and some deep bruising we’re hoping for no long term affects. Anyhoo, she replaced the 992 with a Taycan 4S which is pretty cool I must say. We still have our 50th Anniversary 991 so not a total movement from the flagship. I am and will forever be a huge proponent of the 992. What a solid car.

What an unfortunate turn of events, but so happy to hear that everyone is healthy -- at least physically -- with no permanent damage. PTSD will work itself out, I am sure.
As an aside, same thing happened to me in a 991. Got sideswiped merging onto the freeway, which resulted in me getting T-Boned by oncoming traffic at freeway speeds, or ~ 80 mph. Shutdown the freeway for about 3 hours. Car was totaled, air bags deployed, I spent 36 hours in the ICU and 7 days in the hospital, but aside from a crack clavicle, cracked hip bone, some cracked ribs, a bruised lung, no surface damage (i.e., no blood or puncture wounds). I have no doubt the 911 saved my life. It did nothing to make going No. 2 any less painful for about 2 months, but here I am several years later, with no permanent damage whatsoever.
Hope to see you back in a 992 sometime soon, or maybe a 994.
Enjoy the Taycan and 911 50th.

50th Anniversary will keep the itch scratched and the Taycan is a pretty cool car.

Mind if I ask how old your daughter is? Was she in the front seat or back seat? I've got a toddler who is close to being big enough to ride in the back, but certainly don't want to compromise his safety vs our other, more family-friendly cars.

Glad to hear everyone will be ok. PTSD is no joke. My 3 year old son talked about a t-bone wreck we had for a year after (he is 15 now). He kept telling people, “we had a wreck and daddy’s car went upside down.” Once things calm down and you are assured everyone is ok, go talk to an attorney.

thank god your wife and daughter walk walked away with nothing more than bruising. That's all that matters! Sounds like the 992 did its job!
Out of curiosity…any pics of the 992 after the wreck? I'd love to see how she handled it (I have a Cab as well)
