Default Another Build Thread

I'm interested in opinions on my "poverty" build. Essentially, white, standard black interior, sport package, manual, aero kit, stone guards and sport + seats. the code is PM6TQKM2

Looks great! Sporty & disciplined build.

It’s not my cup-of-tea, but I think there is a hold currently on the aero kit.

Awesome build! Car looks pretty close to mine sans AK

Btw I’d add the Porsche crest on the headrest.

I would reconsider the stone guards.

I think they break up the clean fluid lines of the 911.

Good suggestion! Thanks for the feedback.

It's two big nuts - but how long are you planning to keep the car?

Full Cow in the Interior - so much nicer than the vinyl and it will make the car more resalable.
I'm a huge fan or Rear Wheel Steering and PDCC. They really transform the way the car handles
Good call on the Extended range fuel tank, that's often overlooked and I think well worth it.

my idea is for this one to be a keeper. Maybe 10 year car. I have been looking for a keeper for a while. Hoping this might be it. I’ve been through 5 sports cars in the last few years and it is not economically viable! 😂

I wish I could find one with a standard interior to compare to. All the builds I have been in are full cow

Nice build, but the black stone guards are a distraction. They looked good in the 70’s, but so much now IMO.

Sport Tex on the steering wheel. That will pick up hand oil and dirt quickly. It can be cleaned, sure, but not sure about the long term wear.

Those two things saves a grand. Since this looks like a performance build, you could split the difference and add RWS.

Any one if the no-cost paint options look great with this build. I saw a yellow build at my dealership and was amazed at how great it looked. Also Guards Red would look good. You have three nice choices there.

BTW, the standard interior is quite nice on the 992, much better than the 991.

If its a 5 year car or longer - get it the way you want. You'll regret leaving options off long after the price paid for the car is forgotten. It took me a long time to realize that Porsche doesn't really sell a $ 116,000 992 911S. What they sell is a $ 150,000 car that you can de-content to get to a price point. There is a tendency to take things off in builds that really make the car exceptional and enjoyable.

I made that mistake on my last one, a 2014 991S. Stripped it down in price and told myself it would be just fine. And as a car, it was. However, I was constantly annoyed by the discomfort of 4 way seats, the not-very-good base stereo, the plastic interior, and lack of comfort access and heated seats. When I replaced it with the 992 last month, I made sure my new ride had all the bells and whistles. .

The stone guards do look a little like a 70’s tts 😂
I have sport tex on my GTS and it looks good 5 years later. 🤷🏼‍♂️

I thought it might look a little less plasticy inside with the different material

Still, 500 bucks for an ultra suede steering wheel cover can be used for something performance oriented like RWS.

My build has a lot of extra junk in it - a FOMO build, but I do like these focused builds and may do one like this next time. Make no apologies - it’s cool.

BTW I bought a zero option AMG and the car is great so that is part of my thought process. I’m thinking maybe you get more for your money at the lowest possible option level?🤷🏼‍♂️

Good points. I value your opinion or I would not have asked for it. Thanks!
