Windbuffeting at speed

Asking for a friend
Said friend was in his 911 C2S on the highway going at 100MPH although could have been a little faster. Felt a couple of times as if the wind was blowing him to the side and had to correct suddenly.
He has driven this highway before and at times felt the same in his Cayman
Wind did not seem overly strong but said friend felt that with all the downforces at play due to the variable intake shutters and the automatic wing at the back that car should not have experienced such buffering and certainly not at 100 MPH
Is he just being un realistic or could there be an issue?
