Guys a short review from the car. My wife needed in her car so I had to drive off mine and turning it on and off is not good. So a short drive getting the engine warm before stopping the car. Have some minor things I would like to share.
First is again the stick is soooo short and very well placed in the hand. Clicks so perfect into gear. I only noticed going from 5th gear back to neutral it hits back pretty hard. Also the sound of the small stones in the wheel arches is a dream. You really hear much much more than in a normal 992. Part isolation lacking and part of the rear seat lacking. But it’s a very involving experience. The tire noice probably will be an issue, specially for people not wanting the T but more getting it because availability towards an S. So the difference between the T and my 4S is much bigger than expected. Night and day difference to me.
And then the sound. First the sound of the engine driving slow below 3500 rpm is much much closer to the sport setting on my 4S. So basically the standard sound is much closer to a sport setting sound on a normal one. When I turn on the sport exhaust the sound is incredible. Have not done much again. Just some rpm and experimenting a minute. And went back to normal again. We are not in a hurry.
And then the audio sound !!! MUCH BETTER THAN I HOPED AND EXPECTED !!!! So all people like me expecting the Opel Kadett 1991 speaker sound can sleep again. Of course it’s no Bose. But it really is much better than I have wished for. Even going to 80% provides an acceptable sound. Above that it is not giving of course. But we knew that. For me this was a big positive. But probably because all of the stories here we made each other crazy.
More driving dynamics reviews in the next days, it’s all a bit too overwhelming still.
Awesome feedback, please keep us posted!
Have you tried in Sport Mode (under 4000 rpm, of course)
My Boxster sounds good in normal mode, sounds great with Sport exhaust, and sounds awesome in Sport Mode!
Pívot my good man, you’ve seen through my street talk and discovered who I really am!
Jolly good show old chap, but on this forum at least I’ll forgive you not calling me My Lord Wybourne😄
Macboy I’d be curious to hear whether or not your rear window demist button works??
Mine doesn’t and I think it’s due to the thinner glass of the T not having the thin cables through it??
Still waiting for my dealer to confirm.
On this forum the debate about tyres seems to be between Pirelli and Michelin.
My friend collected his new Carrera GTS few months back and it came shod with Goodyear’s.
ATTENTION T owners with cars and stripes. Can you please tell me how close the color on the door stripes is to the agate gray rear view mirrors?
I bought aftermarket over the top stripes in gray and am hoping they match my door stripes well but can't compare them to anything locally. My friend's T is coming in before mine but without door stripes (he ordered black OTP PORSCHE stripes, so for sure he won't have door stripes). So I can compare the stripes I have to his mirrors before my car arrives.
I am not sure if someone replied already but in my T stripes, mirrors, wheels and engine grill have the same shade of grey.
And here some general pictures. Hope the waiting for most of you will become less painful. Or maybe I just worsened it all
Oh my days! First, congrats on your T! Looks great in red along with red dials. Ha, it’s like reading a mini car review…good stuff.
Our European friends coming thru with the pics (is that just outside Amsterdam? Rijswijk?) The one with stick gets me amped up the most. As for me, please hurt me with daily or even hourly pics!
^^ Congrats @tourenwagen ! Mine should be in Buffalo any day now (today?) "My unreliable friend" indeed, almost seems to be more of a provider of consternation and confusion than help.

But there are thin cables going through it? Just made a picture for you. It’s raining here so next time better picture. Need to test if they work.
