I'm with toph4242 on Ruby Star Neo especially on a Carrera T. In my opinion a modern day interpretation of 1992 964 RS. Most of the original Ruby Star cars ended up in Japan due to the Sonderwunsch Program which was very popular there. Posting a link to a Youtube video that was inspiration for my build.
I really dont care if people see Rubystar as a "gals" color... Its a historic Porsche color, and the truth is I had never seen a girl drive one before that video that was posted earlier... These cars are supposed to be fun and vibrant... and Ultra Violet + Rubystar + any dark green Porsche have always been on my bucket list.
Since PTS isnt available, my dream Ultraviolet spec or Porsche Racing Green spec will just have to wait until I move up to a GT product someday.
In the meantime, perfectly comfortable with my masculinity enough to rock the NEO
It's not for me personally but there's not hate at all. I'm very glad you guys are choosing this color, I'm excited to see it and I know owners will get a lot of attention from folks in the know. @toph4242 I know you're all in brotha, you have been all about that color since day one
Yes to the greens. If I could have done PTS I would have, and the T would be locked in with Auratium Green, which I think is just the best color green for a Porsche yet.
I had that color locked in when PTS was still available... this is my photoshop of how I would have modded it

haha true! I'm the type of person that needs to hype myself up about a decision, otherwise the internal debate takes over and I hate that feeling of uncertainty... Life is too short, you can always change something if you don't like it... I'd rather commit, be excited and see where it goes from there!
I was very close to ordering it myself. I went the "safe" route with Python. Which is funny when you think about it that such a bold color is the safer choice! LOL. When I was talking with my SA yesterday and he showed me the image of the GT3 in Ruby, of course I said I need to be there for the delivery. But I also told him I'm secretly hoping I hate it! LOL

Seriously, I'm sure it will be awesome!!!
He had a pic of NEO? You can't tell me that and not post it lol

No, it was a configurator picture, although it looked a little different than our view. But still just a profile, computer image pic. Not worth posting.

Totally get it and that's good life experience, and self-awareness talking right there. I envy you because I've flip-flopped a bunch of times on color!
All this neo rubystar talk here and the new configurator has much better and it seems more accurate color rendering in the mock-ups - has me reconsidering the python green exterior color.
what about the “free” interior trim in neo rubystar? I like the interior trim in green but the neo rubystar interior might be a tad too much to have inside the car. Any opinions. But it is free and ties the interior into the exterior.
if the color in the configurator is accurate it is more red than pink and not as feminine as the old rubystar.

I agree with you that the interior pieces in Ruby would be TOO much... I also agree that Rubystar seems to be either slightly more Red or I guess "Magenta", which I think lends it to being darker out of the sun and more reddish in the sunlight vs. pink (as PTS Rubystar was)
THIS will be super controversial, but since Im going black interior with just a pop of yellow on the belts, to tie inside and outside I have recently been toying with the idea of painting my calipers racing yellow... I know I know, they arent ceramics...
I painted my 991 brakes Gulf orange (on a GT silver car) and they looked SO cool!!
How much does the T interior in green add to the T uniqueness? I'm stuck between white with the T green interior or racing yellow with the standard black interior with yellow belts. The green stitching and checkerboard on the seats look cool and I think will be unusual. But white is just so common and a little unimaginative, where a yellow T will be unusual itself. I'm wondering if the green T interior will add enough color and uniqueness to offset the bland white.

I think the Racing yellow is an under appreciated color on the 992... And the press car looked so good in it for the T. Yellow with yellow belts is my vote!
