I asked Anthony at NS2 Media to render my incoming Targa with a painted (rear) lower valence. I grabbed a picture of a fellow Rennlister's beautiful GT silver Targa posted earlier and Anthony touched it up and he as well did with a render off the Porsche site. So seeking opinions - or better yet - pictures from somebody who has actually done this on a 992 with SD rear.
I think this looks really good but I might be missing something
I think all painted looks better than the lower valance "wing" pieces that are in body color. If painted, the red light strip and high-mounted stop light might look better in red (as in first photo) to pick up the reflectors in the bumper.
Completely subjective...do what makes you happy...just make sure it's done right for the next owner
To correctly do it, bumper should be completely disassembled, the lower portion isolated to the bare essentials, color matched to the rear bumper precisely...that takes time, experience, and appropriate cost

Painted looks the way they should have made it from the start. I do not care about what is original, I care about what looks best (thus why I have a 991.2) but with the rear valance painted it really looks good to me. And I have my 991.2 rear valance painted at the factory, as well as the side sills (and front spoiler lip painted after delivery) - the less black plastic the better.
And while I agree you should have it done right/professionally do it for yourself, not the next owner...it is YOUR car.

Bob...would you mind taking a shot of your car valence with your phone and post it?

As I said I have a 991..2 so it will look entirely different. But I wanted to get rid of all the low black plastic, which I did and I think it looks much better.
