Seat Backshells - I went with palladio. Its a cab.

I don't think that is correct? I thought on the standard leather interior the bit you see (and press to get the holder) is actually plastic, (it looks leather but isn't). The option is so they actually cover it in the same leather as the dash.

I will be disappointed if you are right. I specifically asked what this was. I asked how its possible to have full leather dash and then just this one piece not be. Both the SA and his Manager assured me that full leather means they cover that outside part too. They shrugged their shoulders and said, some people want the inside part leather too. I assumed it was like the air vents. If they were wrong I'll make them pay to put black leather on it.

This thread makes me want to build a turbo S with every single option Porsche has just to see how much more cost one can tack onto a build.

I saw this here: https://jalopnik.com/the-needlessly-...-91-1833336900

Not sure if it is a leather passenger cup holder option or not. I think this photo is missing the $390 option based on the door handle not being wrapped in leather...I think if you get the cup holder in leather, you probably choose to also pay and get the doors done as well.

It would be nice to see a photo of the passenger cup holder on a car that has the $390 option chosen.

I have the full leather, and the additional 'Cup holder in leather', and this is what it looks like... ONLY the front is leather, the insides, and mechanism are plastic.
Which would mean that those without 'Cup holder in leather', the front is plastic or synthetic.

This does not seem to be correct based on my post above.

Thanks! it's such a small dollar amount compared to the total cost, I'll keep it on my build.

I think it is one of those items that Porsche should have included by default when you choose a Full Leather color interior, but they must have gotten a very good synthetic color match that they can pass on the savings to everyone who doesn't want it.

I would agree - small cost (silly they didn't automatically added it in full leather) but it looks nice in leather.

That's a ridiculously small piece of leather, lol! I'm going to have to look at mine next time in car...haven't even opened it and most likely won't since drinks frowned on in my cars...haha!

I have the two-tone slate grey/chalk interior and did not order cup holder in leather. That section of the dash is chalk. The front of the cupholder looks and feels the same as the leather on either side of it.

This appears to be a part that you can probably purchase aftermarket and possibly a simple install? I wouldn't replace it if it meant taking apart the dash,
But if it's a matter of unbolting the glovebox and removing a couple of screws, might be worth it to you?

This site shows the cupholder part (#10)
Eurospares are the worldwide number 1 supplier of the complete range of new and used Porsche 992 (2020) parts GLOVE BOX 809-150
Those colors may be the synthetic colors.... but I do know that Porsche does sell replacement parts in leather as well.

Ask the dealership to get their parts department to order one for you and then have them install it on their dime due to their misinformation
Maybe you pay for the part at the configurator price?

I messaged my SA. Not too worried. If they can adjust it before the car goes into production, fine otherwise I see what it looks like in person. I do have Iceland green deviated seat centers. The configurator says Passenger cupholder trim covered in smooth-finish leather in interior color. In conjunction with two-tone interiors, the cupholder trim is in the lighter color. That would look gross on the black dashboard. So lets see what happens.
