Default 2021 Comfort Access

I took delivery of my 2021 C2S this week and have been pleasantly surprised by the keyless entry. Every time it has either popped out as I approached or as soon as my finger touched the handle.

What has people's experience been? Is it possible they updated the system?

On my 2020 it’s not great. The handles never pop out when walking up to it, and they only pop open if I approach my hand to the door handle in a very specific way.

And you are having better success than me. Glad to hear they got everything figured out on the 21's.

Worked in the begin and then went dead. I'm happy enough when it opens or close without filling the handle. Dealer is clueless, refuses to replace modules or handles without a code on PIWIS.

I was actually a little disappointed that it was included in 2021. Whether it was my daughters MINI or my wife Audi I have struggled with comfort access and find it really glitchy. I am hoping in 2021 they have finally figured it out

You can disable it in the PCM

I am just amazed that Porsche can't figure this out--it has worked flawlessly on every Audi, BMW, or Mercedes I have owned without having to labor over exactly how to move your hand at the door handle. As far as the doors unlocking and handles extending as you approach the car, I'm glad I don't have this feature on my 2020--it would be a security concern for me.

I have only had my 2021 for 2 days, but the access has worked flawlessly. Although I will likely disable it. Every time I walk into my garage the car unlocks.

2020 hear as well. Same with me.. You have to be at a certain point in the car. I believe the side right next to the door is wear the sensor is.

You have to approach a certain way and my handles never pop out on approach.

The sad part is it was an option on the 2020 and I hear standard on 2021. So FML

So 2 others MY21s both having good experience. Maybe they did update.

Part of why I got MY21, so glad to hear it. Hopefully they made other changes.

Shamelessly sharing my Sport Tex interior because I like it so much

It can be a little fiddly on my late build MY20, works 1st try most times, but on balance I'd still rather have it than not. The handles have never popped out as I approach the car.

Yes people were saying they got rid of the feature but clearly not based on 2021s

Personally haven’t come across any issues with CA.

That interior is perfect btw... no shame 😉

When I ordered my 2021 my SA told me that Porsche did in fact work on Comfort Access, improving it significantly.
