Bumping this thread to see if anyone has this feature and finds it works as claimed. Thinking the remote park assist might be useful for when some clown boxes me into a parking space or when my garage is more cramped than usual.

I have been searching for clarification on this as well. On the Cayenne, it has "Remote Park Assist" which seems to be what is not offered on the 922 MY22 builds. This states that the car can park itself while controlled from your smart phone. The online vide about the Cayenne also mentioned "active park assist" which sounds like the same feature, but while you are in the vehicle. The configurator for the 992 offers an option for "remote park assist", but does not mention "active park assist". In the standard features it mentions "park assist" which sounds like the beeping sounds when you are getting close to an object. SO, it sounds like the new 992 allows you to automatically park your can with your phone, but not just with the car. Can that be right?

992 configuration includes both “ remote-controlled parking” and “active parking support”
my SA recommends this package. Says it’s pretty cool.

I wonder what Ferry Porsche would have thought about a 911 that parks itself because their drivers can't manage to do it for themselves.

Hey, if James Bond can drive a BMW through a parking garage then we should too.

In all seriousness, if you have a very narrow garage it would be convenient to be able to pull the car into and out of the garage without getting into it. In my side-by-side garage, there is often only about 12in between the cars so opening the driver's side door and squeezing into my 992 (parked on the right) is a bit of a challenge. Fortunately I am a very slim person. I don't have 3 cars right now so we don't have to park them side-by-side like this anymore. If we do ever get a 3rd car again then t would be great if I could repeatedly and very accurately pull the car into the right side of the garage and do so without struggling to get into it beforehand.

I think you meant to add "remotely" in your first sentence - otherwise you definitely can drive your 992 through a parking garage

...and as a bay area dweller, I hear you on the tight parking...

I got this back from Porsche NA in Atlanta. Should clear this up.“The 992 Remote ParkAssist option does contain the entire functionality of “Active ParkAssist” that was featured with E3 Cayenne. The Remote ParkAssist basically adds the functionality to operate it from outside the vehicle in addition to the existing functions while inside the vehicle.

We do not have any significant feature differences to the European spec 911. We took the time to detail out all the features under the ‘i' button for Remote ParkAssist on the configurator.”

what is interesting is that in the US configurator, you can add remote parking assist to the premium package for a reasonable (for Porsche) $1600. I am not sure it includes all of the items in the list above but it probably does.
