It's a shame really, because the US spec 992 cars sound legit good -- big improvement over the 991.2 Carrera cars. I am sure that Porsche will try to make up for it with more power. :P
I noticed that GPF is not listed on US and CAN TT/TTS but is clearly listed in EU.

Will take delivery next month on a TT...would be nice to have no GPF but will accept that reducing emissions is not a bad compromise.

I hope they do have GPFs. I just want to go fast - I don't see the need to pollute more than necessary just so one can make more noise and somehow feel like they've got something bigger between their legs. Honestly, all this stuff about the loud exhaust just confuses me. What is the point?

If you only want to go fast and don't want to pollute please sell your 911 immediately and buy a Taycan. Or take the bus.

Porsche charges $$ for a "sport exhaust". Unless they are giving out refunds its a big deal.

It sounds f%!#ing awesome, that’s the point.

It’s not that loud to begin with, and it certainly isn’t the type of look-at-me sound that needs constraint from a GPF.

Looking down on others for wanting to enjoy the sound of the flat six as purely as possible is lame. But hey, if wanting a GPF makes you feel like you are better and more secure than the rest of us...I guess that’s cool?

Next you are gonna tell me anyone who orders an Akra slip-on has a tiny pee pee. Gimme a break.

Default GPF

I have owned 7 porsches in the last 30 or so years and have enjoyed their performance, but I support anything that can be done to reduce harmful emissions - regardless of the effect on performance or exhaust noise.
We all have to live in this climate- and anything that prolongs PAG’s ability to produce pleasing, safe and climate-friendly ICE-powered cars I fully support.
Others may responsibly disagree - their principled, rational disagreement should be welcomed.

I took delivery yesterday. Here is a picture - can anyone tell? I don't know what I'm looking for TBH. I can take a different picture if needed.

Based on sound, I don't believe it has GPF based on test drives of MY20 and videos of EU cars. I'm pleasantly surprised with the sound - much better than 991.2.

Great to see!

It doesn’t have them. It would have an extended canister housing towards the pipes 90.
