Default Tail LED bar issue?

Hi guys,

Is this normal with tail LED bar? I noticed and took photos when the guy drove my car after washing. Thank you

Someone else justed posted about this. Might be worth having others chime in before contacting dealer.

My understanding is that regulations require there to be 3 separate brake lights (3rd being the vertical slats). So it's possible that it's operating properly for when brakes are applied.

I'd check for you but my car won't be delivered for another month.

I believe he is right. It’s off because the brakes are being pressed. Let off the brakes and I bet it works. I think this normal.

Correct.... it’s fully lit if the headlights are on, and the brakes are off.....

Interesting. I've never followed a 992, but here are a couple of pictures from a friend that was behind me yesterday on a Porsche drive.

1) This shot clearly shows the behavior in broad daylight, no headlights.

2) This shot does not. I think there is some logic going on here as to when the center of the bar is illuminated. This one was taken earlier in the morning where I think the headlights were actually on.

Yes, as posted it is the brake lights which must be separate vs one connected light. Full bar is just headlights on, no brakes.

In that bottom one, the headlights are on, the brakes are on, and the full bar is on. Some needs to follow a friend and document the behavior.
