Default Happy Porsche Day

At risk of someone being offended, just know I am retired Military but also the owner of a wonderful price of machinery called the 911.

It was such a sad day in history today, and a tragedy for many. A world changed forever.

I will say that while I hold my service, loss of friends and sadness close to my heart, I find that the numbers also bring comfort to my soul when I walk up to my 911 992.

Finding Happiness in a world full of trouble...Happy Porsche 911 Day!

I remember exactly my first ride in a 911 and where I was the moment 9/11 happened...indelible for different reasons.

I used to often glance at a digital clock at home when it was 9:11 and thought it was a weird coincidence. For a long time it reminded me of Porsche and then 2001 happened. Now I tend to think more about the car, but will never forget the attack.

I'll never forget 9/11. We had sold our house and was signing the escrows papers with the new buyers when the towers went down. The person buying our house would have been in the tower that morning. He lost his friends and co-workers.

I was in Falls Church that day, and you could clearly see the smoke from the Pentagon from my office. 125 people died there that day. Three were from my company.

Never forget those whose lives were cut short at the Pentagon that day.

A friend of mine was awarded the Medal of Valor for his actions there on that day.

I'm not offended by people associating the date with the car. After all, positivity is good. But, it's the last thing on my mind on that date.
