I really prefer the standard rear bumper with the plate lower. Am I alone in that?

To me the standard rear bumper looks like it has a bumper boat tube going around it from fender to fender. It just looks so round and protruding like to me.

No, you’re not alone. I don’t think either looks bad, but I prefer the standard.

Definitely not alone. The standard bumper with the uninterrupted lines and the license plate integrated in the lower trim is perfect. I don’t like the SD rear at all with the huge bump in the bumber for the license plate. Also the fins in the SD rear look good in pictures, but in closeup they (to me) look cheap and tacked on. All this is of course purely subjective...

Agreed. For my personal taste, Sport Design interrupts the lines of the car just enough for me. The creasing on the rear bumper for the Turbo models is the best design I've seen so far for the rear, but the SD rear bumper is an acceptable second place.

All 992s look good to me, standard and Sport Design. I find the strong reactions from P-car people to one design over the other to be perplexing at times. The thought that one version would be considered terrible versus the other is a bit perplexing to me. I need to work on becoming a more refined design snob I guess.
