Naturally, if you build your 2021 on the Porsche Website it says the offset is 53 mm . . . sigh . . . I'll need to bring my Xtra large vernier caliper with me when I take delivery . . . just to verify things.

This really feels like a slap in the face for those of us who waited and kept our deposits throughout this CoVId ****. Don’t think I need to explain why

These changes were available to order for a while now. I ordered my car in May and was able to select them (Python, 930 leather, fuel tank, lightweight glass, premium pack). My car entered production on July 30th and should finish 9/4. All that to say, these new options have been known about for a while now.

I was left in the dark about these and order locked and car was built around the same time as yours. Great.

Your dealership ****ed you, it has nothing to do with Porsche.

right. I would have liked to be taken to dinner and kissed first. If anyone has any suggestions for alternatives let me know though sure there are none

Do you think the hybrid system will be an option in the 992.2, or do you think it will be a standard feature in all 911s at that point?

I hope not. I’d prefer they have base models, hybrid-base models, S models, and hybrid-S models. These cars are complex enough as it is, the prospect of long term ownership of a hybrid car of any kind does not excite me. I’d much rather own a full ICE 992.2.

Sorry to hear your dealer didn’t inform you about the 2021 changes. You must have better self control than most of us Rennlisters, because I was on the configurator constantly leading up to placing my order in May. What options are you upset for missing out on?

OK I’m confused. If you’re decreasing the offset, wouldn’t that mean the wheel would stick out less?

No, because it is NEGATIVE offset that is being measured. So less negative offset = more positive. The 3mm change means the wheel will set ~ 1/8" more outboard on each side.
