When I specced my car in November 2019, the big tank was the only option I wanted!
It wasn't available then, I remember it was less than £100.
Never mind, I still often get 400 miles out of a standard tank, I wasn't expecting 35mpg.
I'd love to know how you're getting that sort of mileage; on a country run this week I managed just on 29mpg (imperial) in my manual C2S. No spirited driving, a fair bit of freeways at 70-80mph so in 7th a lot of the time.

Likewise re the bigger tank - wasnt an option when I ordered mine in 2019.
But 35mpg is pretty impressive! Early on in my ownership I averaged 32mpg between Cheltenham and Lincoln, with a couple of stops, but there was a LOT of 50mph average speed sections. I was also easing it in a little.
These days I'm pretty delighted to just get into the 20s!

Well,
35mpg (UK) is about 29mpg (US).
That aside, trundling around Lincolnshire on acroads behind lorries is 50mph and 35.4mpg.
On the motorways at 70-85 mph it rarely drops below 32mpg.
One fast cross Europe drive it dropped to 28mpg. That was quick. Lots of 100mph.
On Silverstone, over 3 hrs in a C2 I got 9mpg!
Thanks for the fuel and tyres Mr P.

interesting. By 29mpg i did mean UK gallons, is in ‘imperial’ as we Aussies would say. And yes, likewise my old 997 would show some pretty horrible numbers on the track but could get 8l/100km on the highway at around 60mph. Slow speeds in Oz help but generally it seems more economical than this car.
Just wanted to say thank you all for your help with the options on my 992. Here's the final build: http://www.porsche-code.com/PM9EKL99
It's scheduled for production and now locked as of today. Should be getting it by end of March / early April. This is going to be the longest 3 months ever!
I will really miss my current 991.2. It was my first ever 911 and represents a special time in my life- - both the first truly expensive thing I ever bought myself and what I was driving when I got engaged in Napa...

Nice build, congrats. I’ve seen that blue - not many builds have it and it’s beautiful.

Thank you! There was a Night Blue Cab at BH Porsche a few months ago and that sold me on the color. Hoping with the chrome window trim and Mojave it will look quite smart, also the color should shine here in Southern California.
