Default Must-Have Options? 991 to 992

Hi guys, hope all staying safe and well. I love my GT Silver 991.2 but time is ticking for my lease and getting close to ordering my new 992. I usually do a factory order to get everything I want and not pay for anything I don't.
This time I'm going a bit middle aged and thinking Night Blue with Mojave Beige interior, adding pano sunroof, sports tailpipes and the larger 21 Carrera rims:

A couple of options I'm on the fence about.

BOSE audio - honestly don't think it's all that in my current 991. Is it even worth it over the standard audio in the 992? I live in Southern California so drive with the sunroof and windows down 9 times out of 10.
Paldao wood trim - this looks so nice and I think it helps add something to the interior with Mojave Beige?

Would love to know if there are any absolute must options on the 992? I'm trying to keep my build under $110k.

Thanks

I would not spec the car without the BOSE at minimum. Ive had both the BOSE and BURM. The burm is very very loud. But lacks deep bass IMO. The bose had better bass, but wasnt nearly as loud. Either way, I would get one of them at minimum.

The wood looks good! Id do it.

Welcome to the 992 ‘club’, I hope you find this sub-forum helpful and welcoming.

Funny you mention about the Bose and being in SoCal. I was out yesterday and playing with it while driving along the 405. Frankly I wouldn’t buy a car without that but with these freeway road surfaces here I’m not sure we get value from it, the road noise and so on makes it moot especially if you drive with windows down and roof open. Different of course if you’re mainly in traffic or on surface streets. Having said that its not a bad system, should be standard here like in other markets.

To Aggie57's point, the noise insulating 'glass' seems to dampen the road noise quite a bit; I would also opt for black tail pipes instead of the ss ones.
Nice build otherwise.

I think it looks sharp. I actually like the ss pipes with the wheels you've chosen, and think that those will work well with the blue/beige. I also think the wood would complement those colors.

Definitely get the Bose. Personally I think that's the only option because the Burmester, to me, is not worth the freight given the listening environment.

Sounds like the BOSE is the way to go. Thank you.
Interesting on the noise-insulated glass. That really might help with our horrible concrete freeway infrastructure.

Hi neighbor! I'm in Marina del Rey. The concrete 405 is horrific particularly around the 10 interchange. I've nearly gone airborne in my 991 going south! Haha

Very true, if I was ordering now that would be on the list.

Beautiful car. I’d go with silver tips to match the wheels and window trim.

I would also agree on the Bose upgrade at a minimum, the base bose is pretty anemic, the burmeister is a huge cost - so middle of the road is good.

If I were ordering mine (I bought mine off the lot and it was highly optioned with some great things) I would love to have the Paldao wood trim, with your color combination, would look great. However mine had the standard aluminum mesh, and it does look very nice - so really comes down to more luxury look/feel vs Aluminum which is more sporty look.

I really like the sports chrono package
PSAM
RAS - this is the first car I have had with rear axel steering - love it. at slow speeds the maneuvering is tremendous. I have not tracked it, but assume the RAS would be tremendous at the high speeds as advertised.
Mine came with 18 way seats (I would not have ordered those, as I have not had those on any of my previous 911). Have to say they are great. I have no issues with the 4 way Sports Plus either, which is what I would have ordered. I do like the Sports Plus more than the sport seats for the extra bolstering effect.

BOSE should be standard on 911s

This was a combo i considered, but with the the exclusive design wheels. The full silver exclusive or full silver standard S wheels gives a very nice contrast to the darker blue color.

i will say that the classic wheels you have now and which i saw in person are a lot less silver and a lot more dark gray in person and this is even more true with a little brake dust. If these wheels were fully silver i would chose them over the exclusive wheels.

Just a thought. I sure liked the way the Mojave Beige leather interior looked on-line in Porsche's configuration. My better half suggested that we go and look at one or more different interiors on a dealers lot (Irvine Porsche), in the sunshine, before setting things in stone. I'd highly recommend that you do so as well. For whatever reason, the Mojave Beige looked very/overly plastic to me. Reminded me of the seats in the late 60's (1967-1970) era VW leatherette interiors. YMMV of course.

Nice build! Just add the Bose and wood trim and it’s great.
