Default Grade a build for a 1st timer - a bit of color help

So I'm finishing 12 years of medical training tomorrow. Originally was going to get a 991.2 GTS (Still might), but decided to go look at 992s and was blown away by the interior and started to warm up to the looks of the rear. The dealer in Indy said that if I ordered now that I may not get a car till May 2021. That got me sad as 10 months is a long time when you've been waiting for 12 years already, so just grab something readily available. Decided to call another dealer nearby, who said that I could be ordering/receiving in November, which is much more palatable. So I decided to read just about every thread here to see what the options look like, I've watched my Nick Murray videos. I think Id like to stay in the 140s. Which unfortunately means I cant do PCCBs/Full leather/Premium/Sport etc. The PCCBs look so good but I probably wont track but once or twice. I'd go slick top because if I'm paying for Carmine, I want the whole car in it! Also wouldnt use the roof much, so might as well save $2k.

Porsche Code: PMG4HQU7
http://www.porsche-code.com/PMG4HQU7

Summary:
Carmine Red/Carrera Classic
18 ways
Black Full leather Interior with chalk stitching, Steering column in leather
Headliner/center console in Alcantara
Porsche crests on headrest
930 interior package
Heated GT Sport
Premium/PDK/Sport
PDLS+
RAS
ACC

Total 149,xxx

I love every pic of carmine I've seen, and I'm set on that.

Final Question: what color belts for the Black with chalk stitching? I'm not spec'ing a sunroof so some color would be good. Could add a SC/Tach in color too.
Safe: Chalk
Daring: Yellow
Not sure how theyd go with the exterior: Bordeaux or Guards

I love the color combo, Carmine is my favorite color red. Looks like a very nice build.

Good build with ticking all the sport boxes, and I love Carmine and Truffle. Mine's GT silver with a glass top (that I use more than I thought I would!). I didn't get PDLS+ and am happy. I waited nearly 8 months for mine - it's hard but worth it in the end. Get the 992.

Love Carmine red. The truffle brown interior is brown everywhere - from carpet to roof. If you are a monochromatic kind of person, it might be fine for you.

I am 50/50 on the roof. I got it again for FOMO, but next time I might not.

I like both Carmine Red and the Truffle with stitching, but not sure how well they go together (but, of course, this is all subjective). For what it’s worth, I have an order due in Oct and my exterior color debate largely came down to Carmine or Night Blue. Ultimately, I chose Night Blue — over the truffle with chalk stitching interior. If I had gone with the Carmine, I like would have chosen a black or slate interior. To me, the Carmine with truffle just didn’t quite work as well. I think your alternatives of silver/truffle or carmine/slate are perhaps better matches. Silver/truffle in particular is a classic combo. Again, though, this is all personal preference. Good luck as you think this through. Car will be great no matter what.

Carmine red is one of my favorites. If you are not going to track but a couple of times a year I would consider skipping RAS. Truffle is gorgeous too and CR with Truffle will be unique but beautiful.

Congrats on graduating from your training! I just finished mine last year. I also went from wanting a used 991.2 GTS to looking at new 992s now.

Build looks good. Truffle looks great but I’m also not sure how it will look on Carmine. Looks amazing on aventurine and gentian. Maybe add the steel sunroof to keep the body color but also have the ability to open it up when you want?

I had a Carmine red GT4. I think Truffle will work. Carmine red is a deep, rich color, so it matches with brown IMO.

Re: PCCB - ironically tracking would be a reason NOT to get them. I have them now and I am a huge fan. On previous Porsches I usually end up talking myself out of it, only to regret it later. Personally, I'd toss the 18 ways and premium to make the PCCBs work (which is actually exactly what I did).

Congrats on wrapping things up. I'm a doctor as well. Keep in mind the optics of showing up as the new guy in a $150k car. If you're a specialist relying on referrals or needing to build a practice it can be tricky, politically. Not a deal breaker, but just be aware.

Congrats from another doc! I agree with the others that carmine is a gorgeous red. I too would do away with the 18 ways, get the 4 ways and splurge on the PCCBs. I have steels on my GTS cab and PCCBs on my GT3 Touring. The PCCBs are next level, not to mention lighter. And the 4 ways seats are lighter as well. Once you get the seat the way you like it, no need for all those ****. Yeah, no lumbar support button, no seat extender, etc, but that is a fair trade-off if you can put that money toward the PCCBs. And get the RAS - it is a total game changer!

Carmine carmine.. dreamed of it for a few years and now can't stop staring at it. My C2S is quite close to your build except RAS.

If you love brown interiors, the truffle works. Personally went with black full leather with red dials/accents.

Get a beater for the office visits. 10 year old Honda or Toyota. Make them want to help you out...

There's some truth to what inastrangeland said re: a beater :-)

Love the Carmine/Truffle combo! And I agree you don't need a sunroof!

Twelve years? Why wait so long? We had a NSx R3 with a brand new 997.2 back in the day.

Carmine red is one of my favourite colours. I see a lot of other cars on the road with a similar hue of red on the street and it looks amazing in the summer sun. Not sure about the interior, it looks good but it wouldn’t be my top choice. Red is a bit of a classic sports car look, so I would lean towards the Sport Tex seats.

Agree, check out the sport Tex interior. May not be as flashy but very comfortable and has that retro look.

Actually just 'downgraded' to a '12 MB E350 (but people think its a newer car) - so basically I have a cheap, free, AWD beater. Referrals shouldn't be too terrible.

For some reason I have a mental problem paying 150 for a new car that has manual seats. And if I get PCCBs, then come the RS Spyder, so now its 10k more.

4 med school, 5 residency, 3 fellowship. Not a Sport Tex fan.

Agree, but I want some lux too. Maybe Sport tex in a GT car, but not in a spec'd C2S.
