Default Choice help please

My dilemma is I want a 992 cab...S with manual...if order wont get until late Oct...which here in Chicago is end of vert season...so it would sit until next spring. Ugh. Other choice is I found a non S vert with auto at a pretty good discount off MSRP...should I even consider? S to non S maybe not such a big deal but I'd miss the stick a lot if I didn't fall in love with PDK...dang why don't dealers spec more manuals...at least one or two?!

Because 80% of the buyers in North America purchase PDK, and we're already the HIGHEST manual take rate so that just shows you how few there really are out there. Good luck.

I would wait for a December allocation to spec a Cab S just the eat you want, with a MT.

You settle now for simply being able to drive for about 3 months is not really worth the trade off of wondering what-if for the rest of your ownership, or worse, living with buyers remorse.

Well, as a die hard manual guy I can tell you I ordered mine last December, with COVID and all I finally picked it up last Friday and today took it on the first 1/2 decent drive, a quick 80 mile run up the Ortega Highway and back. Love it!! Worth all the waiting, what a great car.

here are two good options I found, I wouldn't worry about getting from out of state, or make the trip and drive it back!

https://www.cargurus.com/Cars/invent...ting=270571724

Love this spec, don't know how I feel about the red dials tho, but Adventurine over the brown is a classy sexy combo, plus full leather, PSE, and RS spyder wheels, personally one of my Favorites.

Aother classic spec, black over beige. No full leather or PSE but still a S cab with a manual, with vent seats, Important option for me. If you don't care about PSE (I'd go aftermarket anyway) or full leather (must have for me if I order, not if I don't) It's a nice car.

GT Silver over grey, very high spec, can't go wrong, PSE, full leather, nice wheels, etc

Not a cab, but a cool manual with an Aerokit, missing full leather, but overall great spec.

Thanks for all the thoughts and options! Appreciated!

It probably makes most sense to just order in Dec/Jan and get in the spring...this car is meant to be a fun car and not DD so I'd eventually be bored/unhappy with auto...

I have a place in Newport Beach and am here for the duration of the pandemic.

Traffic going towards Lake Elsinore was steady so I turned around at the Cafe and headed back via Dana Point, along PCH. Nice drive.

Thanks. I like the all-white look and the wheels worked for me too. The joys of ordering a car

You won’t be disappointed. What a car these 992’s are....and if you like the manual then frankly it suits the chassis perfectly.
