Default 18 ways or deviated stitching?

Ok so my build locks Friday. To meet my budget I've got to decide between yellow deviated stitching with a RY car or 18 way sport seats. If I went with deviated stitching I'd go 4 way sport + seats instead of 18 ways. Question is, which would you guys do? Deviated stitching or 18 way seats?

I love deviated stitching, but if you are going with a bright colour like racing yellow, I would choose the 18 way seats. I think the stitching looks best when it’s a contrasting colour, or when it highlights a more neutral colour. The yellow stitching looks great with black or blue paint, but it might not have the same pop on yellow paint. Are you doing a full leather interior, because the black leather interior with chalk stitching will look good with yellow.

OK, I would go with black interior & 18 way seats with yellow paint. I think yellow stitching will be too much yellow. Of course this just my preference and you have to get what you like. If your car was black, blue, silver, chalk etc... I would go with yellow stitching.

One of the press 992 Turbo S cars is RY with RY stitching and it just looks awesome.

OP, if you're thinking about RY exterior with a black interior, I would definitely go for the RY stitching over the power seats. It won't be too much imo. As a matter of fact, I think black interior is too little on its on and needs something to set it off. fwiw, a couple of months ago I saw a RY over black/RY 992. It looked fantastic. If you're going for an RY exterior, you're not a shy guy. Don't go half-way!

True. Any idea about the 4 way sport + seats? I feel like they should be fine...just never sat in them

do you have links to photos of the Turbo? rk-d posted a black car with yellow stitching in a different thread and it was on fire. I have the 18 ways and I love them. I don’t think you can go wrong either way.

4 way seats in my 997 are great. It's the 18 way seat with less adjustment, however the adjustment isn't really needed with how well it is setup. Sometimes more options just means longer to get them how you would like.

4 way sport plus are great seats. Seriously , Porsche doesn’t make a bad seat. Unless you have two primary drivers, then the lack of memory isn’t a big deal. Sort of a set it and forget it deal. Plus, I like being able to quickly pull forward the seat and the lighter weight is a bonus.

If your going all black interior, IMO I think the deviate stitching. I spent a bit of time in a few dealer demo’s recently and just felt the all black on black can sometimes look a bit too plain. Still a magnificent interior in black but if you can option the deviated stitching in yellow...it’ll look S#%T hot.

IMO this configuration would look even nicer than it already does if it had that stitching in Yellow.

You will notice the 18 way seats more than the deviated stitching (assuming you actually like the way the 18 seats fit you).
