I didn't see Nick Murray's name mentioned in this thread. If you haven't seen his YouTube videos, he reviews every single option available on a 992. Some of the information provided is surprising and certainly worth a look.
Don't listen to Nick. You'll end up with a lame car. Just my opinion. He dogs every option that he specifically wouldn't choose for himself.
Good call on PCCBs, Farmlyf. Beyond the performance, which is incredible, the lack of brake dust is a game changer for a DD. I'm using my 992 as a DD and it's been incredible and the PCCBs mean I'm having to do full washes MUCH less frequently. For the most part, just waterless sprays and detail sprays.

Thanks OttawaSteve, yeah I liked Nicks video but I felt he passed off so many options that he didnt personally like and didnt apply to him which ultimately meant he didnt really review well.

yeah I struggled for a while there...it was an emotional roller coaster 😅 did lots of research and got plenty of feedback from fellow enthusiasts such as yourself and have now made the commitment. Cheers for feedback.
I say this every time but..... Don't get Power Steering Plus (PSP). I see you have the rear steer and 10mm drop, if you value feel then the PSP will rob you of just a tiny bit...
Thanks findtom, do you think PSP takes away too much feel for more track and performance orientate use? What about if it were to be used as Daily? Low speed, parking lots office and city streets. Valuable feedback 👍
Ive ended up pulling my initial Burmester option for the standard Bose option. I ended up optioning the light weight noise insulated glass which should also improve overall sound. Plan B would be to upgrade the certain components of the Bose if I found it lacking, that way I wouldnt be wasting $5k on something I could be potentially upgrading part of.

So PSP is just software. Imagine if your Mum (or someone really nervous) wanted to drive your car, then PSP is for them. Standard steering is fine, it's not heavy but has a bit of weight and adds to the feel. The problem with PSP is it's just numb, no feedback at all and while it redacts over 30 mph its effect is that the makes everything feeling that bit less. It's not a logical answer, but the effect is to make a car that you bought to handle feel less like a sports car and more like an SUV. It is the SUV steering option, if you want that then a 911 probably isn't the car for you...
Of course this is all subjective, someone else will tell you he needs the steering and loves his PSP. But if you want that kind of drive, don't bother with PCCBs, rear steering or the -10mm sports suspension. All of which I have fitted to my C4S.
As an old guy who has owned a bunch of cars that I have always washed and cared for by myself, I can tell you that the thing that must be kept clean for your car to look good are the wheels. I know that you have included PCCBs but you should reconsider your choice of the those S wheels in satin black as they will look dirty from the slightest amount of brake dust or metals and they are a pain to clean. You should consider the Carrera Classic wheels instead and the absolute best would be the Carrera Exclusive Design wheels which will show off the PCCBs and are very easy to clean. I think that they can be painted satin or gloss black inserts which would look really good. That's a heck of a car you're building and put me on the list for dibs when you decide to sell it.
BTW: The Jet Black Metallic is a good choice as it is not nearly as difficult to keep clean and look good when compared with solid black.

Thanks for the feedback Jerry991. Strong case on the wheels but I personally just dont love the others that much. My plan was to work the stock wheels for a while until I was over that look, then take them off as a spares and drop a stack on A set HRE R101. What are you thoughts on these for my build combo?
Planning on putting an order in for them after my options lock out at the end of this month. Too many different finishes that I like but leaning more towards the gold.

I have R101 on my 993 and those made a huge difference in performance. They are really nice wheels. I've yet to see weights on the OEM 992 wheels, but knowing Porsche, I'm sure they're anchors. Lightweight wheels transform the way a car drives.
R101s are $10k wheels so it's definitely big money, but they are so light. First time I picked them up, I had to laugh.
When/if BBS FI-R are available for 992 that's another contender.
I think the HRE wheels look great but gold to me is too loud and too much look at me but that's up to you. My point though is with the factory wheels the satin black is a pain.
