No joke. It almost makes me want to bomb out on my incoming car.
If I didn't already have my 992 c4s in MT, I would snap that car up in 3 seconds. That is a ridiculously fair price, and good options, not too much, but not too little either.
I was also talking to a buddy this weekend, and he is trying to get into a 992 MT. Almost every dealer he has talked to (1 had one available) and the other few dealers he was looking to order. They were offering either nothing off MSRP on the MT's, and only 3-4% off orders due to allocations being slim. This is a screaming deal right now IMO, specifically with almost no manuals available.
i've done a nationwide search and there are 0 manual transmission 992s for sale (on cars.com). are dealers not stocking these cars; only custom order? i want to test drive one before ordering it.
My local dealer champion had like 4 last time I was there couple of weeks ago
Called 3 dealers today and all said that they had no plans to get any manuals in. Only custom order. Having not been a huge fan of the 991 7 speed, seems hard to take that leap of faith.
Love that the seller took the photos on an unmade road....911's have always been great on those surfaces (and yes, I know many people will scream at the thought!).
On a side note:
Drove a Panamera yesterday- the Sport Turismo 4s or GTS is, or rather was, a possible solution.
First time I really drove a PDK- Auto shift, while in normal mode, has the car in fifth gear @ 28 miles an hour.
To accelerate, the car downshifts like three times and sounds like crap... and from a standstill with the engine off?
Junk...
And then to shift manually one must have their hands at 3 and 9 to operate the paddle shifters: I don't drive like that.... my right hand is almost always on the shifter...
So, it would be ok, if one could shift from the ****- but it's paddle shifters only...
So that is a NO WAY-
And thus the M-3 is the only out of my dilemma.....
The new M3 is coming with a MT!!!! It will be a nice 4 door with about 480 hp. I love BMWs and have owned many; sold a 2019 M2C about 2 months ago. It was my DD - well, one of my two DDs.

Any HELPFUL thoughts?
Did the Panamera have sports chrono? What you describe is exactly how I recall the 997.2 PDK's driving without SC, or SC in normal mode. For a while, out of interest, I drove my manual 997.2 the same way and got some amazing gas mileage.

Recently I found out that my 992S MT (due to arrive in a few weeks) will be the FIRST manual my dealership has received. So I don't think that 20% number I saw for manuals in North America is holding true around here (not that I care). My wife and I both want a manual. Just hoping that Nick Murray's evaluation of the latest 7 Speed MT is dead on since he liked it so much, especially over the 991.2.

Given that Porsche delayed the manual for the first 3/4 of 2020, and only offered it in S/4S, numbers are wildly skewed. Very few 2020 cars will be manuals, probably less than 5%. I would bet 1/4 to 1/5 of 2021s will be manual. My 21 order is a manual. I’d buy one right now off the lot if there were one out there relatively close to my ideal build.
