Try to find a place where you can compare the seats. The Sports Seats Plus (either 4-way or 18-way) are tighter with more bolster. I prefer them but know that it’s very personal.

Incredibly disciplined build. Looks good!

I'd keep the S+ seats personally

Thanks guys!

Call me crazy, but when i sat in the sport plus vs normal sports...i found the lower back area more supportive in the normal seats. can anyone confirm if that's actually true?

If you find them more comfortable, then go for them. A big plus to having the regular sport seats, is you get the leather back shells. So there's that...

I am wondering about the plain black paint and maintaining it. For me, I would do the metallic black instead to avoid the swirls. If you don’t want to spend bucks on paint, guards red, yellow, or white might be better. For me, I love the guards red.

Dan that is a good point. Not sure of the current plain porsche black, but in the past (have had 2 plain black 911s) - the paint frankly was not as good (depth, thickness, lasting ability, maybe it was the clear coat), and the maintenance/swirls/etc. was the worst of any porsche (or other flat black cars) I have owned. I also love flat black color as a whole (still own 2 flat black vehicles) , just the porsche flat black was in the past somewhat inferior. Maybe it changed in the 992 from the previous few generations.

The Jet Black Metallic is sensational (likely my next porsche color). I got the Carrara White Metallic, and couldn't be happier - great color and depth, and easy to maintain. Also looks much cleaner when kind of dirty, since this is my DD.

I found the lower back more supportive in the regular sport seats than the sport plus, but that's me.
My first build was regular black and I changed it along the line (on one of my changes before the lock) to the jet black metallic after realizing I may go too crazy counting swirls---however, the regular black is soooooo awesome! I really like your build--it's going to be a beauty ;-)

In the Nick Murray vid on 992 options he mentions how bad the standard black is and recommends literally anything else . . .

FWIW, the 18-ways have been very good for me, even on longer drives, and I do have lower back issues.

That's what pushed me over the edge to the jet black metallic! I'm thinking his video saved me a swirly mess nightmare.

It is all personal and I agree , I too found the normal 14 seats to my liking over the 18 . I also ( no idea why, just some past impression of the old cars) preferred the look of the slimmer seats. My 1st 1,000 mile round trip confirmed I definitely diodnt make the wrong choice ...although I'll never know what the sports plus would have worked out. I'm sure they would have been fine ...but frankly I didn't feel I need adjustable side bolsters at any point !

Seats are a very personal choice based on your body type and physical condition. I went through the same agony until I drove a car with sport plus. Seats worked great for me and I don't need the 18 way adjustable and the extra 60 lbs.

I have the 14 way seats and had the 18 ways in my 991.1 turbo. The 18 ways definitely "hug" you into the seat more with better side bolster support. For everyday driving the 14 ways are more than adequate. When I was going to order I was going to do the 4 way sport plus seats but I discovered my family members also enjoy driving the car (especially my daughters) so having the seat memory is definitely a plus. If I had to spec now, I would do the 18 way. I also really like the PDLS headlights when driving in the hills at night. I think they really help. Also, I would get the Bose stereo, some complain that it is too "boomy" in the bass but having driven in a friends 991.2 that had the base system multiple times, the Bose is worth the upgrade.
