I have a yellow 992 coming and a few weeks left to change options. I have the yellow tachometer but the question is, should I match the sport Chrono to yellow as well? Anyone have any good pics of either option?
Me? I love it.... most who see it in person, love it...
How much for the red stitching? I tried to add that but my whole order got messed up.
A whopping £2k. If it's any consolation, they use a much thicker thread and the work(wo)manship is amazing. For me, the balance was between a carbon roof and deviated stitching. I think I made the right choice.
In figuring out the interior choices of GT Silver exterior and Black/Bordeaux Red interior 992,
I am wondering what would be the best (?) color combination of Tachometer and Sport Chrono.
For starter, I am hugely into coloring Lizard green at least for Sport Chrono dial as it reminds me green light on the road.
Now then the question is which color should I pick for Tachometer dial.
1. SC Green - Tach Green combo seems too much.
2. How about Green SC with Red Tach?
In fact, this is the most likely combo I would pick as Guards Red color in Tach dial seems just perfectly make sense.
But, then again, the Green-Red combo just reminds Christmas year around. haha.
If not, perhaps go with Black (no color option for Tach) or White dialed Tach to match with Green SC? The most likely choice of mine (Red Tach and Green SC)

It would actually be more interesting to instead of having 6 or whatever "ambient" lights we could change the tach/sport chrono colors... In my case given the GR and deviated red stitching I left the belts and dials black; thought it would be overkill. As to the belts, given my lifestyle they'd get dirty in no time.
I went back and forth. My car is GT silver w/ black interior & red seat belts. I ended up spec'ing the red tach dial, but left the chrono timer dial black so as to not have any unnecessary distraction while driving / scanning over the dash. I am very happy with my choices.
Also you might consider the Lloyd floor mats with a logo (Porsche / Carrera / Turbo / whatever you choose) and edge binding in a color matching the tach and/or chrono dials. HUGE upgrade (quality and look) over the crap factory floor mats. I chose black mats w/ red logo & edge binding - looks great!
I'm stuck between going with white or Guard's red. What color is the illumination at night if one options white or red on the tach?
Hi, anyone with white tach can confirm if they can see the illuminated numbers against the white background during the day, are the RPM numbers washed out against the white tach?
Thank you
Have tried numerous times to post a white tach photo at night and can't get it to upload.... keep getting error messages from rennlist. Gets to 50% and then aborts. Anyone have advice?
