Default BlackVue Battery Pack stealth location

Tried searching without much luck, but was wondering if anyone has found a good spot for the BlackVue battery pack. I bought their Power Magic battery thinking it was a smaller profile...and while it's slimmer, the actual footprint is much larger than the original (which I have as well). It also doesn't come with a mounting bracket (unlike the original).

Just wondering if there are any hidden spots I could tuck it into - I tried removing the glove box to see if there is any room behind it, but couldn't get it to detach (removed two screws underneath, but can't figure out what purpose they even serve). Under the seat doesn't seem practical as it could potentially crush it in the lowest setting from what I can tell (despite the new battery being much shorter in height).

My last resort would be in the passenger footwell area, but there is no good spot to actually mount and/or keep it out of sight.

Was digging through the frunk to find my paint code and found this spot that worked pretty well for the battery. Originally I planned to repurpose the stock bracket, but it was to shallowed and required bending, which I couldn't do. Had to angle the battery slightly, but some tape on the bottom edge and top where it touches the frame seems to be holding it in nicely...and gives some breathing room anyways. I'm hoping the liner will go back in without issue (and hopefully I can still get a hard liner), but otherwise I'm happy so far. Will take another day to run the actual wires to the interior.

Update - decided to scrap the project as running the wires through the firewall just seemed like too much of a pita. The main large grommet (which likely goes into the glove compartment area anyway) was way too stiff and impossible to feed through. I found another one below the cabin filter box, but there was something about the design/shape that was proving difficult to feed through. I spent a couple hours and made zero progress, so I will just live with hardwiring the camera directly for switched power.

Help me understand why we'd (I'd) want this mounted in a 992?

Assuming you have a mirror with some kind of power or control on it (e.g. auto-dimming mirrors), I don't see why not. There should be a few things in that general vicinity receiving power, you just have to find one that is switched and meets the amperage requirement. Worse case scenario you have to run a wire across the top of the windshield and down the a-pillar (which isn't that difficult).

It's a battery backup for a dash cam, which allows it to continue recording while parked. You can also take it a step further and power a mobile hotspot off it via USB which gives you remote access to the camera stream and cloud uploads while parked. Most people probably won't be interested in or need this, but a few years back my i8 was involved in a hit and run before I had this type of setup - this would have allowed me to record the offender and file charges.
