Youre looking at my LO 992 with red tail lights, black Porsche and no model badging. The intent is to give the OP a picture of a 992 configured with 3 options he is considering. Make sense?
I struggle with these. You could say they're a bit ricey, but maybe that just shows my age. Putting that aside, my eye gets very distracted with the incongruity of the clear bar against the red lower corner reflectors/lights. Maybe an aftermarket match is available to resolve it?
If you're going clears, I'd definitely give Eric @ Bumperplugs a shout and add these.
I notice your third brake-light appears to be red? The clear taillights option on the vehicle-builder includes a clear third brake light, no? Does this mean your clear taillights were installed after the fact? If so, where did you source them? Ive only found the clear third brake light at Suncoast. Your car looks great, btw!

Not my car. Just a sample photo of the satin black option that Eric sent me from bumperplugs. Though the color match still looks good, I prefer the blended look of satin black on the rear valence personally. Gives it a more seamless look.. color match stands out too much.

Im very happy with LO. There are many great colors for the 992, so no choice is wrong. I simply didnt want to drive a car that looks like one that everyone else drives. Lava Orange is bold but, to my eye, not as overt as Racing Yellow, Miami Blue, Lizard Green, and now Python Green.
Yesterday, we were at our dealer for over four hours going over all the options we have chosen as our Freeze Point is 06/23/2020. The option most discussed was the Clear Taillights. My wife and sales manager were for them, me not so much. Curious what you all think? We have gone with the Black Porsche with no model badging on the rear. Cleaner look. My reasoning is all vehicles have the lower reflection badges in Red and the Clear Taillights conflict with these lower reflection badges. We have Clear Taillights on our Macan S, not a big fan. These configurator photos are really not very accurate as the Clear Taillights look dark, which really does not reflect the true color. Yes or No?
Thank you everyone for your input. Our freeze point was yesterday and we decided to save a few dollars and go with the standard red...Our build is scheduled to start on 07/17...Only 101 days left to wait.
Personal taste, but I like the reds on a black car.
Clears are a must have for Chalk, though.
I seriously struggled with this, but came to the conclusion that chalk (as with white) is bland enough, and to clear out light lenses (any of them) just makes it even more so.. Almost the albino affect, but with a car.
Doesn't work for me.
In the end (pun intended), taste is a purely subjective thing.

Interesting--I have the same build date, but my lock date isn't until next week.
That said, I'll be curious when you can see your car in TYD. I know the common knowledge is "when the VIN is assigned" but I have seen posts where people get it both sooner and later.

TYD can be very confusing at times. We are both in S. Cal and just over the mountains from each other. Our dealer told us we got his first 2021 allocation. Our dates have continued to move up and the GM thinks we should see it sooner than 10/02.
I saw my 992 in TYD within a couple of days of ordering it at my dealer. That being said, the "lock" was within about 1 week from order date and TYD counted down my lock date; luckily I made a few changes because it locked 3 days earlier than predicted. Actual build start shows 9/4 with completion on 9/11.
