I can't answer for BigLoue, but I have a signed purchase order with my build specs and a locked-in price. Targa allocations haven't been issued yet, and I wasn't going to wait and risk being last in line rather than first. This is probably different from coupe/cab allocations. From reading posts on the forum, it seems like dealers are already receiving 2021 allocations for those models. I don't feel that my situation is too open ended. I've been a good customer of this dealership, and I expect to be treated fairly.

Given limited allocations, what discount can one reasonably expect on a Targa? 2% to 5%?
I've owned 4 BMWs, and I can't tell you how much bette Pcars are. Are you ordering a Targa?
I've loved my M5/M3s but ready for a change...wife will still have X3 but want something fun...and I always get stick...no, getting a C2S Cab...but I've heard allocations for any model are really low and tight. :-)
Manual for me as well. My last BMW was a 2008 M3. Great car.
Just sold 17 M3...rock solid car, never went to dealer for anything other than oil...not sure I'm going to like new M3/M4 styling tho...and 911 a true classic...hope my allocation comes thru and can get!

FYI (Order and deposit given two (2) year ago in anticipation of the 992 Targa)
From my dealer:
I have the updated Porsche Code. I spoke with my rep and allocations will not be coming out to next month so we should be able to move your order to V200 next month.

new to Porsche what does V200 mean, your order is placed?
V070 A vehicle demand request has been submitted to Porsche. This lets Porsche know that your dealer has a customer who wants to order a specific vehicle. This does not mean you have an allocation. This simply lets Porsche know how many potential customers exist. At this point you will not have a build schedule as shown above.
V200 Delivery date determined. Now you have an allocation with an estimated delivery date. This date can easily change through the process due to many outside factors (parts, weather, changes to your order, etc). You should be able to get an estimate build schedule (like the example above) from your dealer at this point.
