6-Way Driver Seat -inc: Manual Fore/Aft Movement

I have a hard time believing that the power seats add 60lbs to the car, that is crazy heavy if true.. Do you have any specific documentation on that, as if so - after I trade in this 992 for a 992.2 targa, I would not opt for the 18 ways.

I rarely use the lumbar support in my current Audi. I was set to get the 18 way sports +, after reading this and the other seat thread. I am now leaning the sports + 4 way and save $3,000

I had the 4 ways or was it 6 ways in my 991 and could never get them comfortable, Im 6" 1 and 225 and could not get the support for my knees that I like and it actually made my back hurt. My mistake was ordering them without sitting in them ! Got the 14 ways in my 992 and I think they are the best seats Iv ever had in any car.

There was an article that I had read a few months back that always stuck into the back of my mind, but I can't seem to find it.
That being said, I wouldn't opt for 4-way seats "just" for the weight savings. It would be for the rear access from both the driver & passenger side. I currently have a preset memory to pull the seat all the way forward and down, but there is NO memory seats for the passenger side... so you have to bend down and electrically move the seat forward. Which I'm not a fan of obviously.
The 992 has added some weight from the last gen. The weight savings is just icing on the cake.
IF there were memory for both sides, I could live with it. I would just rather bend down and slid her forward within a second or two.

I spend waaay to much time reading weight savings threads in the GT forums lol it has been listed many times how much the weight penalty can be for going full power 18-way seats.

That is really ridiculous - while comfortable and I love the 18ways, I would be tempted to go with the 4-way sports + seats. My seats in my McLaren (both) weight less than 1 of the seats in the 992 - gulp!
60 lbs savings is significant, I do not track my 992 (I have the other cars for track days) - but that much weight is crazy, and on a track you would absolutely notice that, if you are experienced and working on lap times.

I just did some reading and I think you are right - about 30lbs per seat more. In a bit older model 991 (the full power seats are tipping the scale at ~100 lbs) the 4 ways shave about 28-30lbs from that.
