They're (whoever they are) saying that on Monday you'll be able to configure one on the Porsche website. I would guess that you'll be able to place an order fairly soon and take delivery when the rest of the 2021s arrive. Maybe this fall? I put a deposit on one over a year ago, but I don't want to take delivery until next year. At that point, I'll be retired from the real estate business, won't need a car to haul clients around and can trade in my Macan.

I'm thinking of pulling the trigger on a '19 Tagra 4 GTS.

I am interested in one because it is a unique offering and handsome car yet I don’t want to (Will never) sell my GT3 T and can’t stomach $ 250k CDN for a TurboS which I would really like....but fear a highly specced Targa will be $200K CDN....which goes to the argument “..well; I might as well get a TurboS.” which will likely cause me to sit on my hands and build one on the configurator for 18 months.... which will lead me to the argument well I will wait for the 992.2 which will....😳

Hopefully rear glass sourcing is on track. Friend has 991.2 that had multiple build date changes, supposedly because of rear glass availability.

A 992 Targa in python green with black targa bar and wheels would be absolutely awesome (to me). I hope someone builds one.

Very excited about the 992 Targa 4S. I plan to order one as soon as I can place an order, maybe Monday? This will be my first Porsche purchase.
Question, do the dealers give any discounts on a new model order? Just this weekend I went to a dealership and they told me it would be two years, after the GT models, before I would see a Targa (ha and actually very dismissive). I assume you go through a dealership versus direct to factory?
look forward to more posts
many thanks,

People often make the mistake of treating dealers in a humane, respectful manner when if's not often reciprocated. They are dismissive and exploitative in good times and bad, it's a dirty business that only truly benefits the few than own and run these places.

Internet is your friend, create a template and throw emails at as many dealers as you can and play them against each other from the comfort of your chair. Some wont respond, some will fall off, but you'll have enough bidding to put together something that'll make you happy.
